Winter @ The Lake

There are more than 400 miles of groomed snowmobile & cross country trails on the East side. You can sled or ski from your cabin and be up in the mountains or trails in minutes.

Priest Lake in the winter, has a quiet magic to behold. You feel hugged by the beautiful white snow that surrounds you, the stars are unbelievably bright and if your lucky enough to be here during a full moon the snow is lit up in a sparkling glow and the snow shadows are amazing!

After a day of sledding, skiing, hiking, snowshoeing or just taking a stroll, come home to the cabin for a hot drink, maybe a good book and a warm flickering fire while diners cooking on the stove. Relaxation and Connection are the key components of a winters night.

Whether it's Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years or Valentines Day, Wintertime is something special at Priest Lake. We have specials on the holidays and throughout the season.

For downhill skiing, snowboarding, snow skating and ice skating, Schweitzer Mountain Resort is 62 miles from Priest Lake above Sandpoint, Idaho. Sandpoint offers great restaurants and music venues through out the year. You can see lake Pend Oreille from the top of Schweitzer and there is even a trail from Priest Lake where you can snowmobile to Schweitzer and take the Basin Express high speed quad down to the lodge and have lunch. For avid Anglers there are great ice fishing areas!
