Autumn @ The Lake

"Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all." - Stanley Horowitz

Fall At The Lake

Fall is an amazing time at the lake! The lake is still, the leaves are changing and the Tamarack (Larch) trees are slowly turning gold in the mountains and around the lake.

Fall is a great time to hike up in the trails, paddle a canoe or kayak to Upper Priest Lake. At the first dusting of snow on the mountains on a sunny day as your backdrop while you’re paddling in the lake you will feel the serenity and the beauty that Priest Lake is.

Wild Mushroom Season!

There are 450 identified mushroom species at Priest Lake! Always make sure that you go with an expert who has picked in the area before. Don't rely on books or the Internet to identify them because there are many mushrooms that look alike and may not be edible . Joining a Mushroom Club is a great way to learn the different varieties.
